I can always find a reason to get in the kitchen - a holiday, a birthday, a token of appreciation, a craving, a challenge, a Tuesday. What I've been trying to figure out is how to get into blogging. I wasn't sure what to write about, how to do it, and who would even read my ramblings. I was reading one of my regular cooking sites and came across
this post which led me over to Food 52's Tournament of Cookbooks, which led me to look up one of the judges, Dorie Greenspan. While reading some of her background I learned her work was the inspiration of an online baking club called
Tuesdays with Dorie.
The more I read, the more I wanted to belong. The rules seemed simple enough; bake a chosen recipe twice a month (piece of cake, pun intended), own the book "Baking with Julia" by Dorie Greenspan (Amazon, here I come) and must have a blog to post said baking adventures. Must. Have. A. Blog.
So I had finally found a topic to blog about! I recalled a recent blog tutorial session from my dear friend
Abi and I was off. I now have another reason to get in the kitchen, AND a reason to blog. As for who will read this, I guess we'll see...
